The Knights of Columbus Council 5357, Sanford had an excellent return on its latest quarterly “Food for Families” food drive to benefit the All Souls Saint Vincent de Paul food pantry.

This drive was held over the last 2 weekends of June. (June 22nd thru 30th). Over 500 Bags were handed out by both members of the Knights of Columbus Council and Saint Vincent de Paul society to every willing parishioner after every mass June 22nd and 23rd.

The bags all had labels applied on them by members of KofC during our last social meeting. The labels were provided by SVdP with suggested food items needed to fill the food pantry. The bags were returned by parishioners to the All Souls parking lots and loaded onto KofC member vehicles for delivery to the food pantry on June 29th and 30th.

The food pantry provides much needed food and basic essentials to the needy of the city of Sanford area.

This last drive netted over #250 bags filled with #1991 items valued at $6516 with a few more coming back in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks to all the Knights that helped make this a success.
